Just A Memory Test

Here’s a poem I learned during my grade school years.  I can still remember the whole poem and I just don’t know why.   When I sometimes forget a little piece of thing, I always thought it has something to do with getting older.  It maybe true.   As we are getting older, the memory is getting shorter whether we like it or not.  So I just thought of posting this poem just in case my memory of this poem will lost into oblivion someday.

A Book Ride

One day I read a book,
Beside my shady brook.
And took a pleasant ride,
To places far and wide.

Wherever I did roam,
I  saw the seas with foam.
The fields of golden grain,
And plants awaiting rain.

So many children there,
Some dark and others fair.
Cute girls with lovely eyes,
And boys who looked so wise.

I’d go for another ride,
And travel far and wide.
By reading another book,
Beside my shady brook.

Author:  I forgot already 🙁

    God bless.

  2. Good for you, you remembered…I rarely remember even my own poems that is why when I lost a notebook full of my writings (about 65 poems) I just lost them all in all. 🙁

I’ve come to accept the loss anyway and started all over again. 🙂
