It’s a warm Saturday I thought it most people would be in the beach making it not so crowded in Nordstan. But I was wrong cos the people loved to sit outside the café with some refreshing drinks. We did a little shopping before we went to the restaurant. This time we decided to eat lunch at Sunwall Restaurant and had a buffét of Chinese dish. Then we headed to a café but we didn’t sit outside cos it felt that the heat of the sun was sticking in our skin. It was nice to have mango fruit mix, although the mango wasn’t like the mango in the Philippines. After a short while, we handed the gift to the May celebrant. It was kind of late for a gift cos her birthday was on the second week of May, but she couldn’t make it to our April meeting so she got her gift today instead.

]]> http://www.lemback.net/2009/05/warm-saturday-with-friends/feed/ 0 My Instant Kids http://www.lemback.net/2009/03/my-instant-kids/ http://www.lemback.net/2009/03/my-instant-kids/#comments Mon, 02 Mar 2009 22:10:44 +0000 Mylene http://www.lemback.net/?p=539 Yikes!  It has been more than two weeks since my last entry here.  My reason for not writing was that I got bored with my previous theme, which happens normally to me.  When I feel that my theme started to look dull, I lost my enthusiasm to post anything.  Instead, I go on browsing the net for new themes.  It took a while before I found this theme.  I like the design, it’s almost the theme I’ve been wanting to have for this site.  The other reason for my long absence here was that I was suffering from a slight headache for days.  It kept me  from blogging.

Anyhow,  I started feeling better just the day before I would meet my friends again for our monthly gathering.  We made it, though we were only four this time.  But we had small company of kids whom I adore a lot.  And it’s always fun when kids are around.

We did not go to our usual Asian restaurant this time but to a Danish resto called Boff Hus. We had no rice and Asian dish. This restaurant is kind of popular because of it’s specialty which I don’t think appetizing enough to attract guests. But the people just came and willing to wait for their turn on the table. It’s not a good place for us who like to stay and chit-chat longer. But it was fine, we would always find somewhere to sit with our hot or cold drinks.

]]> http://www.lemback.net/2009/03/my-instant-kids/feed/ 0 A Day In The City http://www.lemback.net/2008/08/a-day-in-the-city/ http://www.lemback.net/2008/08/a-day-in-the-city/#comments Thu, 14 Aug 2008 21:46:20 +0000 Mylene http://www.lemback.net/?p=180 I am making the most of my summer vacation for only few days left before I start working again.  The week has been planned to sort out and organize my stock of papers in my little room but my computer is always getting in the way.  However, I felt like going out for a while and I’m glad that my close buddy, Wendy, was available and hasn’t started working yet.  She is the only one I can call whenever I want to go out and stroll in the city or something.  Yesterday was another day for us to join the city crowd and another friend, Elsa, whom I haven’t seen for long was with us, too.  I forgot it was the yearly Kultur Kalas (Culture Party) in Gothenburg city, otherwise, I would not go out in the full-crowded city.  As usual, we went to our favorite Thai restaurant and sat and talked endlessly.  After the very satisfying lunch, we went around and inside Domkyrkan (The Cathedral).  We thought of walking along the Avenue (Avenyn) but it started to drizzle so we went to malls instead.  We all got tired so we sat in a café in Nordstan and had cold refreshments.  We headed home when we noticed that it was only 30 min left before the stores in the malls would close.  It was such a wonderful day.
