I can feel that autumn is on the way cos it’s starting to get cold in the mornings. The first month will be a mixture of cold and warm though, when everybody wears autumn jackets in the morning and takes them off on the way home in the afternoon. Changing my wardrobe every season is something I look forward to although it’s difficult at times to figure out every morning what I’m going to wear. But it’s giving me freedom and creativity to choose what I like, unlike when I had to wear uniform at work in Davao.

This morning was really cold and the temperature showed 10.5°C which was a surprise for me because it’s not even September. I was wearing my summer jacket and the cold got through it and gave me a brrr! reaction. I had my scarf on but I wished I had wore gloves, too. And because it was cold, I kept my hands in my jacket pockets, hehee! Whatelse could I do.

In the afternoon though, I had to zip my jacket on and off because the sun was a bit shy, showed only now and then. It was like a race between the sun and the wind. I even took off my scarf and never put it on again when I was on my way home. This day reminds me, anyhow, to wear thicker jacket and not to forget gloves in the morning. I’m ready to face these cold and warm days again.

dust-bunnies

photo taken from wikipedia.org

Dust, dust go away and don’t you ever come back again a single day! If I could torture dusts by chanting this line excessively so that they get scared and go away forever I would have done it right now. It’s a bit of a hardwork to vacuum everytime I see it in every corner. I don’t know where the dusts come from when all doors and windows are almost close and there’s not even a gravel road outside. Although I have done a lot of cleaning on my summer break I still see dusts coming every now and then. And I just can’t help but clean or vacuum the place otherwise they’d turn into dense dust bunnies like that in the picture. Disgusting, isn’t it?

I like it better in the winter or fall when the rays of the sun will not be so intense and make those dusts not quite visible. I vacuum once a week but in the summer I do it twice. But what’s interesting about them is that they come on the corner, under the table, on the cabinet or anywhere that’s particularly difficult to vacuum so I must use a piece of rag to wipe the dust off. I guess it’s the main reason why we clean our place cos dusts are living with us and no matter how much we clean they just keep coming anyway.

Mop or Drive?

Hubby is so induced about me getting my driving license this year. If he could only do the test for me he would probably have done it long ago. He has been taking me out almost everyday just to practice driving. And it’s driving me nuts sometimes when I don’t feel like going out. I would thank the rain when it pours cos it would makes us both lazy to go out. I’m just so fed up with practice driving that I make up reasons when he tells me it’s time to drive again.

A few days ago, he asked me to go practice driving again but I was not in my best mood to spend time on the road that day so I told him I’d mop the floor. I had planned to do it but something would always get in the way so until now I haven’t done it yet. Yeah, he destroyed my plan of the day by telling me that “the floor would still be there when we’d back”. My sad face turned to a big grin when I heard what he said. Hah! He won over my mop plan. And yes, the floor was still in place when we came back, lol!

Back to driving, I had a scary experience past Saturday because it was raining hard. It started to rain just when I drove out of the parking lot. That was the first time I drove in a heavy downpour. Though I was not nervous or in panic. It was hard to see the road so I told hubby I wouldn’t not drive on the free way. Thank heavens, it went good and safe.

I have finally created my first digiscrapping template out of a layout from freedigitalscrapbooking. I found out that the site has a monthly challenge to create a digiscrap out of a given layout and a winner or winners will be published each month. But I don’t have the guts to join the challenge for the time being so I will just observe and stalk the site for more ideas. I was looking for a template for my next digiscrap and I’m glad I found a layout, which I have not thought about, that I could follow. A finished template is all-laid out one while a layout can blow your mind off to make it complete as a template. And here’s what I came out with.

I made my nieces as models since I don’t have my own kids. Geez, I discovered I could do my own template with my photo editor and graphics software. I did not know about this before. I basically use what I’ve downloaded from the site, like the papers, background and embellishments. But this time I did it all with what I have in my software. I just need more time to really explore it. I was overjoyed last night when I learned how to do the curves in the circle, hahaa! I could make my own paper, too.

I intended to sleep early last night so that I could get up as early as possible. Can you believe I have been sleeping a lot that I’m afraid I would be having a hard time to switch my routine back to normal when I start working again. And speaking of which, I will be on the job again in a week. Argh! Though I think I’m not getting enough sleep at all because hubby Leif and I are watching tv and it’s keeping us glued on our seat for hours and before we know it, it’s already so late at night. Ok, too early in the morning must be the right words.

Last night was supposed to be a record-breaker but I made a sudden leap when I heard a sound that seemed to come from under the bed. It sounded like a rat rustling with a plastic bag or something. I would be astonished to see rats now, considering that I have not seen any since I arrived here. Then it was hard to fall back into sleep. I glanced on the alarm clock and it just past 5:00 am. I sighed and tried to get more sleep while hubby seemed not bothered by the sound. I asked him if he made that rustling sound but he said he didn’t and didn’t hear anything at all too. And guess what time I woke up. It’s half past 10 am. Duh!
